Wigmore again…John Maneely and I visited the end of the cave and made a surprising amount of progress – we dug through two obstructions and regained the streamway – although we were still in the boulder choke. John let one final snapper off before we retreated for beers. On Sunday I carried for John and he dived the landing sump in Swildons – the line had long since been removed from here so he replaced this and belayed to two hastily constructed silt screws – made by me outside the Wessex changing room.
