After returning from the Picos I heard that Wigmore was sounding very promising and wanted to get back down. So we planned a trip for Sat 9th August. However the weather had other plans and when we woke up the rain was torrential. Instead therefore we had to content ourselves with another photo trip, this time in the cave before the sumps and dropping off diving kit for another time. One the Sunday our Wigmore frustrations led us to White pit as a potential sump might be opened up here after a lot of digging. The following weekend – Belfry BBQ weekend we planned another Wigmore trip but if anything is guaranteed to provide crap weather then it is a BEC BBQ! So once again we were down White Pit – this time with enough ladders…. And so we started work on the new sump pool!
