5th-6th July 

I was determined to do a decent caving trip to check that I was fit enough for the Picos expedition. As it was a pretty wet weekend we (me, Mandy, Robbie Shone, Kev and John) opted for King Pot. Kevin and John bailed in the “T shaped” traverse whilst we pushed on – but didn’t go down the last pitch as I screwed up with the ropes + it was pretty wet and we needed to get back anyway.  On Sunday I modelled for Robbie and Mandy as he taught her about using her Digital SLR underground. I finally joined in with one of the “Grand Days out” a week later on Saturday. Good fun pumping the sump down and Duke Street 2 was interesting. Did some digging on the far side before exiting to get a beer and burger!
