Digging in Wigmore 18th Oct PDF Print E-mail

As there were already some cylinders at dive base Duncan and I were able to cave in with just regs and the drill etc… This meant we didn’t need any sherpas (handy as we didn’t have any volunteers!). We made swift time to the end – 3 hours from the surface and did a couple of hours of digging in the boulder choke. Duncan’s experience was crucial here and he located the best spot for our attack. We left after setting off another snapper – which I rigged this time. Steady pace on the way out although I was suffering from a cold and Duncan was tired. Out at 8.45 in time for dinner at the Belfry with the students and a couple of lemonades in the pub (no really – as by now I was feeling really crap with my cold!)
